Our Happy Customers

I called at 10am with an issue where select lights/outlets in the house stopped working. They had someone at my house by 1pm and fixed by 2pm. The guys that came by could not have been nicer or more professional. They cleaned up after themselves and helped me put stuff back before they left. The price was very reasonable, especially considering how quickly they came to help. I’m getting an estimate from them for more work now too!

Very pleased with Advance’s work! They were able to run conduit, add an additional 30 amp circuit in my garage, and install a whole house surge protector for a very reasonable price. These are the people I’ll be coming back to for my future projects!

We have now hired Advance Electric on two separate occasions. They are extremely timely in their scheduling, reasonable on pricing, and very professional and friendly to work with. We will definitely contact them with any future projects or issues and will recommend them to anyone needing electrical work. Thank you again!

Should I re-wire if my property has aluminum wiring?

Aluminum wiring can oxidize overtime which can potentially lead to a fire. Aluminum wiring was used in homes in the 1960s until about the mid-1970s and has been known to be faulty in certain cases.  If you have concerns, call us to evaluate your wiring so we can determine the best course of action.

Why do my lights flicker?

Typically, it is just a faulty light bulb. However, in some instances, it could mean something more serious. Something simple like turning on a vacuum, hairdryer, or other large appliance may cause your lights to flicker which can be fixed by an electrical service upgrade.  If all your lights seem to be flickering at once this may be an instance of power arcing. Arcing takes up a lot of power and energy, which in turn creates heat and could potentially start an electrical fire.

How can I save energy in my office?

The simplest way to save energy in your office is to make sure your lighting is efficient. LED lighting is one way to easily reduce energy and even improve your lighting throughout the office.  There are several other ways including replacing old fixtures and looking into better energy efficient solutions.

Why is my light switch hot?

A hot light switch is most definitely not normal. There are a few reasons why this might be happening- it’s overloaded, it’s failing, bad wiring, or use of a dimmer.  A warm dimmer is normal but when any switch is hot, you should contact us immediately.
